Hi, I’m Lauren Veronica — fashion designer, identical twin, and founder of Currently Popular.
After 10 years designing socks (yes, really), I realized I was playing small in the career I once dreamed of. Currently Popular is my second chance — a digital studio where I’m finally designing what I want, showing up in my style, and building the brand I wish I’d started years ago.
The name Currently Popular came from the way my brain never shuts off. I always have at least one idea living rent-free in my head, fully formed and screaming to be made. Once it’s out, there’s another right behind it. It’s a creative loop I’ve lived in forever — which means this blog isn’t just about what’s trending online, it’s about what’s currently trending in my head.
Sometimes it starts with a single outfit I can’t stop thinking about. Other times, it’s a collection no one asked me to make. But it always starts the same way: an idea that won’t leave me alone until I give it a place to live.
Currently Popular is that place.
Trends are cyclical. So are obsessions. This blog is where I keep the receipts.
But it’s more than just about me. I created this platform for young women who want more from their wardrobe. It’s part style archive, part studio wall, part closet diary.
We take a realistic, unapologetic approach to upgrading your style — whether that means discovering your style archetype, planning looks for every moment on your calendar, or finally building a wardrobe that works as hard as you do.
It’s not about being trendy. It’s about curating a style that feels good now — and holds up for the long run.
